still no one has said what the 'cam+chip' package does at the wheels?

considering its only a mild cam u need a chip for it? thats pretty stupid.

CMS Stage 2 Cam 148rwkw no chip needed and cheaper? So i dont see why people drool over something that no one even knows the output on?

That's all well and good, but fuzion wants POWER outputs.... so do I. That link you posted doesn't even give valve timing. Phat lot of good that does to anyone wanting to compare different cam shafts.

A rather amature website at best. Makes you wonder if the camshafts are amature too.

man have you looked at it yet??

it's not mild at all. the one crow do of the same power band also needs a chip.
the one wade does also needs a chip.

they have a smaller one that is similar to the 1004 that does not need a chip.

at the end of the CMS only make 13kw more then my stock cam XR6.
now that is pretty stupid

If you're so impressed by surecam and think it's so good, how about you get all the technical info on the cams and post it here?

Get me advertised timing and 0.050" timing, duration, lift, lobe center, est power figures etc etc etc.

Even better, post a dyno graph so it can be comapred to other cams.

I have no desire to buy from a company who wants me to buy through their website but doesn't give me the information required to make an informed choice and compare their products to their competitors. If they don't want to give me that info straight up, I'm not going to chase them for it when their competitors are more than happy to divulge their secrets to me.

Hypothetically, if you were stupid enough to buy a PC from Hardly Normal, would you buy one that was labeled "Computer $1100" with no details of what hardware was inside, or would buy one from another store for roughly the same price with a detailed list of what hardware was inside?

ive recomended people do that... not everyone has to time etc to research, but they have the money. and a computer 90% suited to their needs is good enough. only other option for them is to talk to people. which, since you CAN research, pick up the dialer dingy, and dimple some digits. stat!

I think the point is being somewhat missed.

What does surecam have to hide by keeping the specs/results to themselves.

- The cams are poor quality / poor performance ?
- The place is unprofessional in their promotion? Leads the quations- What else is unprofessional? (missing pictures on the site lead me down this path)
- They're ignorant of their customer base who demand to know this kind of stuff.

I for one, when shopping for anything anywhere will want knowledge of what I am buying. In this case, SureCams (they may very well be great, high performance gear), but they obviously don't want to SELL to me, and many others right here in this thread.

You lazy bums! :-)

I just called them. Yeah your right, no specific info. No dyno graphs or cam specs they could give me. The chip is a chiptorque mapped to suit their cam.

A while back I posted about the Crow cam and chiptorque package that was reccomended to me after I phoned chiptorque. They said that was the best and the one they reccomended for 90% of street cars. With dyno graphs, full specs and willing to talk to me about options, how to re-tune etc. Warranty etc. That seamed like a better option.

I'm not lazy at all. If I rang them up and was told that they wouldn't give me the information I wanted over the phone, then I see that situation as no different to going to their website and not getting the information I want. And if they can't give me information in the form I want it in, I'll go elsewhere.

Would you buy froma cam place that published everything in Japanese and it was up to you to translate it to English so you could understand it? I didn't think so.

Besides... i-pods are s**t. Go a Vosonic X-Drive instead.
