What is that thing circled in red? makes me want to have one.... and what does it do? mine has a little tube thing going from the intake tubes into where that blue .. filter thing goes.

its an air filter...

Just a bubby one...

Doesn't do anything extra that what factory one does...

Used in motor sport a lot where you have big volumes of oil bashing up there, because with factory set ups it would suck the oil down the hose your talking about and into the engine... Just another way to make it breath instead of into the manifold where yours does...

Crankcase breather. It is part of the emmissions system. The filter in the photo Im pretty sure isnt legal as it is allowing oil vapour to vent to the atmosphere instead of back through the motor and burnt. Not totally sure on that one. It should have an oil catch can hooked up to it instead.

it is illegal to have them. no crankcase ventilation is allowed to vent into the atmosphere. it has to be burnt through combustion

pretty much. a car after like 1970 something has to have a sealed crankcase
