what cam is it??

that is hunting at idle. the ECU is asking what the hell is in there and tring to compensate what is happening is lump lump lump (fuel dump) Vroommm lump lump lump (fuel dump) Vroommm lump lump lump (fuel dump) Vroommm. have you tried resetting your ECU

its my ea open saloon car (speedway) 250 crossflow standard bottom end umm pro valve springs and retainers, jp true roller chain set the head has been polished and ported wade 1147b cam std valve train, mr holley manifold with mechanical 350 holley and 6>3>2>1 ectracters 2 1/2" pipe and a hot dog finishing at the diff, 4sp borgy with 2.77 diff normaly runs full on in 2nd gear, i am racing on the 25 march.

Unfortunatley mine does this to, and there is no aftermarket cam in there. I think it might need the timing adjusted???? even though it was done after the head gasket was done, might just need some slighty advanced timing.

Anyone got any ideas??

could be idle speed controller, that is the first thing i'd try.

i even changed the ecu and oxy sensor, still nothing difrent. Y is it fuel dumping?

cause the ECU is confused, its not sure whats going on between the MAP and and all the other sensors. you will need to look at aftermarket ECU's to sort this issue if you want a smooth idle, maybe a powerchip.
