maybe its time not just for power?

suspension/brakes will win you many races.

time for better swaybars, a set of dba's. will help you corner MUCH faster, ie while that commo's braking for the rounds bout (do dragtacks have these?) your still on the gas?

If you suspension is better/ less body roll you can shoot through in and out corners and roundabouts easy as without having to slow down as much because your car will stick better and pull up faster if need be.

Up the fuel pressure a bit. Oh, and get a piggy back ECU or similar.

Put neons and bonnet pins on it. It'll definately go faster.

it handles quite well actually, pedders springs all round with pedders front shocks and bilstein rear shocks. just need a way to lean it out a little bit now. would a adjustable pressure reg fix that?

It may help a little. How old is the current O2 sensor? That can have an effect too.

Don't bother with adjustable pressure reg.
Way too crude.
Save the cash for a proper tune, whether that be via chip, CAPA "edit", or a standalone aftermarket ECU.
