thanks for the help.... looks like it will be a b**ch of a job to fix but i can still drive it around in the meant time, not that id really want to tho just incase anything else happens

Its a bit if fun to work on. I've done 3 timing chains for mates so far, all because of broken guides.

I wouldnt drive too far with the guide like that. A mates EB started like that, then it snapped a little lower, below the tensioner guide. The only thing that was left keeping tension on the chain was the poor tensioner. By the time we got to it, the tensioner wore down that much, it was just hanging on. Another week or so, he would have been looking at a new engine.

If you want to fix things up. Let me know. I can give you a hand.
