Hey Ford dudes :P

I just picked myself up an EF GLi with 140,000, in immaculate condition for $900 from a clearing sale.

I've wanted to do one up for a few years and now i have the chance i want to make sure i do it right.

My plan is to keep the 4.0 ltr where it is for now, and to keep the car lookin standard (except for rims)
Lookin to spend around $1500-2500
I want extractors(what ones for great low-middle end?)
A sports exhaust(preferably quiet)
LSD(was thinkin 9" but i know nothing :P)
LED lights with clear tail lights, fog lights for front bumper.
maybe a turbo? but they're like $2000+?

If someone could help me out that would be great and much appreciated. :)

i will put pics up of ma bebe soon :)

Best bet is to look around this site, specifically the garage and 6cyl section. You'll get a good idea of what you can do and how much it costs there.

I like these extractors as there fairly priced and as u want low/mid end power these come with a 41mm primary pipe but u can ask them to make it in a 38mm primary pipe, to make more low/mid end torque power.

Also u can buy his cat back exhaust from them http://www.dkne.com.au/ford-eaef-6cyl-sedan-p-378.html and it sounds like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dnpg1N4BD8Q

From what i've been looking at on the forums so far, i've created a list of what im going to do:

Tickford Snorkel, 3" mandrel bend ally intake from box to throttle body with K&N panel air filter
4499 Pacemakers/Wild cat hi flow, also want high perf exhaust without the noise.
Big fat cams :)
LSD 9" (and changing ratios for bottom end power)
Plugs, coils ignition upgrade
water pump system as mine has some corrosion
Am wating to lower body a bit, not too much

little things;
Dragway mags
Midnight express tint
Personolized plate (open to suggestions) :)
LED headlights, driving lights/foggies, clear tail lights

So that's it so far, cars goin over the pits today :D will be on the road by monday :)

EDIT: Also would like to get it tuned, getting it tuned worth it?

it does work, but you could spend your money better else where for performance

On the site they boast it to cool it down alot, extend header life and up the performance.
About to give them a call for a quote on 4499 headers should i ask them to bring the primary pipe from 41mm to 38mm?

I had them done to my Pacemaker comps is was $300, it made low down power a bit better and the under bonnet temps alot cooler but its not really something i would be worried about if your on a budget.
