I reckon it will drone a little at 100kph with the resi removed. But your noise level will increase too across the rev range.

yes it will drone, through the 1800-2800 mark if you have the 4480s.

I have 4480s 1 single main muffler no resi, and its a b**ch down low for drone and resonance. nice bark above 2800 though, as the resonance is in the gap i mentioned.

ill defiantely be fitting a hotdog to try and calm down the noise in that range, it actually gets quieter above 2800 rpm.

try switching the resi for a hotdog if you want to get a good compromise between noise and drone.

Mate a hotdog is a resinator....... a resi is a hotdog.... most aftermarket resis look like hotdogs.. hence the name...

I got the 2.5 redback system with only one muffler and it drones all the time at cruising speeds-60-110.My extractors arent pacies but its not the extractors that cause the drone its the lack of a hotdog.I would have gone for the hotdog system if they had one in stock at the time.

Just cut the s**t off and if it drones weld it back on. Simple.

strange, as the exhaust shop i went to had 3 types to show me for my system, a large main muffler, a resonator which looked like a half sized muffler, and a hotdog, which is a slightly bigger pipe with small tabs down the inside.
