mate i have bought 1 after owning 14 commodores...the best thing i done;).my car is a el manual stock and it put out 128 kw on the dyno at crescent motorsports.im currantly looking at a exhuast and cam upgrade .

Is that a completely stock el manual thats a alot of rwks, I only ask because I've got a stock el xr6 man myself

when will people realise dynos are differnet! they dont all read the same!

perth street machine magazine ran an article where they put a Commodorre ute on 10 dynos or s**t around perth.
they found a 100hp difference!!! so go figure dyno dont mean s**t they only good for tuning!

no need to get your nickers in a knot...and considering it was a dyno run done on a ford mods day the cars run was very good to some others on the day in comparison ways

Having owned both Manuals & auto,s I found the manual cars more fun to drive but autos less troublesome plus don't miss the rowing of the gears in heavy traffic.
If you are starting out driving (P)plates I would recommend driving a manaul car so you don't have to many problems if in the future you decide to buy a manual car & only been driving autos for years.

Well I bought my XR two days ago.
130000 km's and dead stock apart from an alarm. I love it!

Dragged a VR V8 Statesman last night and beat it by more than a carlength (He had an exhaust and s**t too) - Beautiful 4000rpm sideways launch hahaha :p. Missed the light too so I coulda had him by more.

Damn I love this car... And the manual transmission is f***en awesome fun to drive!

I just took my EL Futura for a spin, by no means as quick as an XR ;) But I love my manual and LSD :)

My foot slipped off the clutch doing a u turn, and the car saw a lot of opposite lock in both ways :) I Love my manual.

At the same time his foot happened to 'slip' onto the loud pedal, what a co-incidence! lol
