Having owned both Manuals & auto,s I found the manual cars more fun to drive but autos less troublesome plus don't miss the rowing of the gears in heavy traffic.
If you are starting out driving (P)plates I would recommend driving a manaul car so you don't have to many problems if in the future you decide to buy a manual car & only been driving autos for years. |

Well I bought my XR two days ago.
130000 km's and dead stock apart from an alarm. I love it! Dragged a VR V8 Statesman last night and beat it by more than a carlength (He had an exhaust and s**t too) - Beautiful 4000rpm sideways launch hahaha :p. Missed the light too so I coulda had him by more. Damn I love this car... And the manual transmission is f***en awesome fun to drive! |

I just took my EL Futura for a spin, by no means as quick as an XR
 But I love my manual and LSD 
My foot slipped off the clutch doing a u turn, and the car saw a lot of opposite lock in both ways I Love my manual.
