hey everyone im just wanting to know whats the difference in horse power ea 3.9 injected motor to a 4.0 injected motor cheers

Which type of injection? the EA 3.9 single point efi had about 120kw, the 3.9 mpefi had about 140 kw give or take a few from memory and the 4.0 mpefi had 147kw all at the flywheel i imagine.

hey dazza i have 4.0 in my eb and the motor is gone not worth fixing i have a very last of the ea sitting in my drive way it has got the mulit injected motor in it and im thinking off putting it in my eb so i just wanted to know what the diffrence was in horse power i just wanted to see how much hp im going to loose.

Was close, I havent looked at the numbers since I was a 16 yo when they came out. We had a new EB2 and I used to give my mates who owned commodores s**t cos they had 130 kw or whatever it was...
Back to the point though, is there a difference between the late 3.9 and the 4.0 apart from the difference in swept volume ie computer or cam? |
