By the way you guys are talking, your avge l/100km display is fairly instant. As I said, if I started to do nothing but highway kay's from today, the trip comp won't start coming down for about 2 weeks. Why would mine be sluggish?

Mine is same, i can do grampy driving on long trips just cruising at 100ish for cpl of days then it will drop significantly.
Same as if i go out for night n give it a bit, it wont show up untill day or so later lol.

Its not a precise piece of equipment trust me; but its a good tool to see how your driving style changes from week to week.

I just go by how many kms i do per tank; thanks much more accurate!

Mine takes more than a couple of days man, it takes a week or more to change.

Strange...as soon as i hit the highway mite starts to drop!

Kit...

If your trip computer is slow to change, have you actually reset the AVG LT/KM range. Just select Lt/KM display, and hit the reset button. If you are stopped, it should read 99... and as you start driving it will start to change immidiatly, and it will change consistently, but the more Kms you drive the less responsive the display will be as its taking an average over the whole period since it was reset.

That would be the only reason I can see it taking a while...(although I will admit I didn't realise I could reset the value until I read an owners manual)

I've did 2100kms since battery last got disconnected (for new trans) and most of the time the consumption has sat on 11.6, with an average speed of 46k's, which comes from both small highway drives and around traffic in the city, though I have seen it go up to 19L on the instant scale, usually when im drifiting with power on making the most of this new transmission :)

Damn, i wish i got your sort of economy, my lil ol 5.0 gets 220-300 around town, let me tell you that is between 22 and 34l/100k. And the trip comp displays this aswell. I only drive 4-8k a day to work and back, but it is to the boards everywhere. On the highway, the trip comp shows a lowly 7.8/100k at a steady 120kph on a long trip. This equates to just under 800k on the highway, which i am happy about.

Same as brett.. I get between 250-350k's out of a tank around town... but out on the highway more than double that.
