Do not mix coolants it can course a reation. Tape water is fine don't need distilled water.
Top up with the same coolant or tape water.

By the way my first el head gasket was leaking oil down the block between 5-6 cylinders at 210000kms. Found broken head bolt at that spot.
My second el was leaking oil down the block between 3-4 cylinders at 220000kms.
No broken head bolt. I used the AU steel headgasket with new bolts.

what signs do you look for to check if you head gasket is ok ?

easy way i guess is look for coolent marks running down the head.
they will either be a dry white colour of little green drip dryed out.
make sure to inspect all around the gasket as well.

mine went about 226000km.Not 100% sure why(had only owned the car for 40000kms) but i'm thinking the previous owner thrashed it.Plus a little bit from me too.
