how far can you go before you become guilty of RICE?

is it your interior lighting becomes exterior lighting?

Your old paint tins get tacked together for a full sick exhaust?

Is it having full chrome mags? if so what size or larger?

what is your definition of rice..?

I think either one of or a combination of the above..

Big stoopid trolley handle wings are very pro rice.. even if you got a reason for it.. ie track work.. if you can iron your shirt on it and you drive it on the road full time, thats rice.

For rice interior, you would have to have fake boost guage, fake shift light, a neon playstation and the car should be covered by decals of companies that didn't really modify the car.

Yep gotta agree there. And its the whole "look at me" issue. I've seen ricers adjust the shiftlights on their tachs to 22000rpm so that it lights up when they're trying to find a parking spot at maccas and everyone can see it.

Ricers are nothing but rich try hards. In every suburb there are kids that go to the markets and buy cheap speakers. Then they box them up in tissue boxes and put them on the parcel shelf. When they get a bit more money they can afford to paint the tissue boxes black. When they get off the dole and get a real job then they become fully fledged ricers that fit s**t up like dummy coolers, blow off noise generators, LED tailpipes. Being a ricer is not determined by one mod or another. Its a mentallity that kids have. Everyone wants to be noticed with street cred (thank the 2F2F movies for that) but what is street cred? I don't call them ricers. I just call them Try hards or Try harders cause that's all they are.

Form over function is extremely well put...

Personally I'd class rice as modifications done purely for the visual/aural reasons, despite reducing a cars performance and safety abilities...

By far the best look is the Toyota Echo/Excel, with the super sick shopping trolley spoiler, bodykit, mags and 'racing' stickers. But when you get a look inside, hello kitty seatcovers and forty thousand stuffed sailor moon toys scattered about...
