Nah not that one, I've got different terminals to stock, plus this wires about 2 or 3 times as thick... I was thinking block to chassis or something but I dont know where.....

It's not for another earth someone has installed like from the gearbox to chassis? It looks too short to be engine to chassis.

Yeh its not very long, but its pretty stiff so the shape it is now is how it was on the car. I dunno, motor runs without it ok but I'm sure its meant to go somewhere....

I cant remember if it came off my EF motor or if it was on the AU motor. I'm going to add some more earths tomorrow, but whatever it actually is it musnt be that important, motor runs fine without it. |

I have to replace exact same one on mine its acutally earth from the block to the chassis, on my au its under my coil pack, under my bbm

Ah ha, thanks, mystery solved!
I was going to use it for the exact same thing except on the other side as the battery earth is there anyway, failing that I guess I'll manage to get under the bbm and put it there. |

I ran an extra earth from the battery to the cyl head....nothing like a decent earth for the spark plugs.....and another big earth from the lower starter motor mounting bolt to the chassis.

Yeh thats a good point. Where did you earth from on the head?
I've got a few metres of 8g cable left over from my audio days so I may as well use some of it, been sitting in my cupboard for years now lol. Thinking of going block to chassis, another battery terminal to body/chassis, and perhaps that head earth as well. |

I still have the 3 fan belt set-up on the ED, but the EA head I have on it, I had drilled & tapped it to fit the EF/EL power steering pump mount......so, I had a threaded hole ready to go. That is where I hooked up the earth lead.

Yeh fair enough. I need to get some more ring terminals and stuff, cant seem to find mine... either that or I dont have any left lol.
I meant 4g before not 8g too btw. |
