ok i live in the sydney area and i want to be my ba xr6 tuned, im trying to find the cheapest possible tuning, obviously this renders all flash tuning as a no. does anyone know anywhere where i can get the car tuned for around the 500 mark or below?

we all have budgets mate..but tuning isnt wear you want to go cheap with it.good tuning will save you money in the long run!!i suggest autotech engineering in granville.he isnt the cheapest but they are a bloody good ford tuner.ask for spiro

usually a cheap tune will give cheap results, thats if you can find someone willing to do it that cheap..

Well, he's said his budget "renders flash tuning as a no".
Dunno how you tune these cars without accessing the PCM, which requires some sort of a flash tuning device. His only chance is finding a CAPA dealer that still utilises the X1 tuning boxes that CAPA can illegally bypass and reset on demand. |

I spose if you are going to spend money on blowing up your engine, you'd be looking to spend as little as posible.
But I think it would be cheaper to not blow up the engine and just get a good tune. |

What have you guys heard about Intune Motorsport in Seven Hills? They quote $1295 for custom tune and $800 of that is the xcal3 device

Well i found some info, alot of the posts were quite old 3 - 5 years ago so im sure alot has changed since then. Even so there was mixed reviews, so i have asked the question if anyone has some recent experience with them

haha thanks mate, that last link was very helpful, so many mixed opinions, granted Intune are probably good at tuning at 8s but i only got a lil old n/a 6, i have checked out Tunehouse website - their facilities look really nice, plus alot of positive comments about their work
