Gday i have just been thinking what else i can do to my car while still NA, I have a full rebuilt engine, full exhaust, CAI, 68mm throttle body, Wade 1671 cam, SCT chip and xr6t injectors. Its putting out 154rwkw at the moment, what else can i do to the car other than getting a bigger cam to get more power from it? I was thinking full port and polish with the head but im not sure if i will gain anything from it? What else is there to do besides forced induction?

Cheers

did you mean 1673 or is it a custom regrind?
how much did it cost you to get the engine rebuilt ?

any help will be great thanks

hey mate the 1671 is the AU equivilent of the 1673, the engine rebuild was done at the mechanics cost plus around 1100 for stuff that i upgraded while it was being done. Long story short, the mech didn't put the first cam in proply and vavles went through 1 and 6 piston.

Ok im getting a fair bit more money this year and I want to make my car fly down the quarter mile. I have made a list of what im going to do this year I wanna hit 12 second quarter.

Crane HI-6 ignition with LX92 coil
3.9 diff gears and rebuilt lsd
Pedders rear adjustable swaybar
Cebco 330mm brake kit
A bigger Wade 1250au cam and put my double vavle springs in
2800rpm stall converter
Raptor Supercharger (12 psi if i can)

Do you reckon id get into the 12's with that?

well my AU motor with the 1250 is running now, still some bugs too iron out though, and need the timing tweaked.

But the cam pulls HARD, and i mean HARD from 2000RPM right up till redline, its a bit spungy and jerky under 2000RPM but thats probably the timing ect and I'm still running the standard diff, going 3.45 soon

hey mate, the build sounds good so far.
Whats the idle quality like with the AU1250? Have you got the timing sorted yet? Im interested to see how this pulls compared to the popular grinds 977b and 1521a etc
cheers
