or

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lukey-Cat-Ba ... 33685c9b11

are they good quality?

They seem to only have 1 mufler and they both don't have resonators. does this mean they'd be fairly loud? iv already got extractors.

is this around the right price for an exhaust as well?

Do they drone? or would they produce a nice deep "woob woob woob wooob" kind of sound?

BTW whats the difference between all these? which style would be recomeded/ which one sounds the best? why the price difference?
Im guessing they wouldn't be that different due to only the resonator being changed in each one...

extractos arnt going to make you car louder in the first place it only makes it flow better, as for the exhaust system im running a 2.5" single muffler redback system it's not too loud has a nice tone and no over the top drone at 100

Thanks for that.
I'v got extractors but im enquiring more about the resonators: what they do, where are they best positioned, do i even need them, and what is the difference between the three exhausts above.

I personally don't like too loud of an exhaust, so a 2.5" Lukey exhaust with 2 mufflers worked out just fine. It's louder than stock, but not so loud that it seeks attention...until you cop a hole in one of the mufflers. No drone at 100km/hr.

It is up to you how loud you want it. With 2 mufflers it will be quiet in comparison to a single mid muffler with one resonator. I would say a single mid muffler with 1 rear resonator is as far as I would go without having too much unwanted attention from the popo.

Agree, If you have P plates that is  .
Ive run Extractors, 2.5 pipe and no rear muffler or resonator for two years and never had "legal" issues.
HOWEVER, it is VERY loud and droney at times but I love it :D

Would love one of those Varex mufflers to save waking the whole street when I need to get some milk late at night

To be honest im not a fan of too loud exhausts as well. Ah k, so they are mufflers in the rear, not resonators in those ebay kits.
Iv actually got an exhaust kit, a cheap, crude one but.
hi-tech or hurricane extractors, stock cat, supercat catback with reso (might be 2 1/2 (17cm circumfrence if that gives any clues)) and rear mufler removed. it was all done by the previous owner so im not sure about everything. it has an alright idle note, but it is quiet compared to other catbacks out there.

So a resonator is recomended for a good sound thats not too loud. Just want to replace my cheap system with something better that has the reso at the back because a front mounted one would scrape on our driveway.

Definitely stick with a middle muffler and a rear resonator. My car idles like a stocker, yet sounds quite decent at WOT for a 6cyl Falcon!

Now if they only did ones for Egas Falcons on Ebay......

Go the Lukey....

I still run my 2.25" pipe but got rid of the middle muffler for a smaller Lukey box and its sounds very nice....
