a matter of fact, I get my exhaust done by a guy here thats installed & specialist in on & off road really {TARGA}. he said a 3" is a complete waste of money for any long stroke N/A i6.
the 3" jjn package you read is to target young & naive kiddies, big market these days if you wanna up size your order!

yet he has the fastest na aussie six cylinder. i think he knows what hes doing a tad more then you do buddy

Mate, this is the bseries:

1. Doogstar 13.750 @ 101.95
2. BigAl 13.803 @ 101.70
3. Brendan Mock 13.844 @ 99.91
4. XRchic 14.04 @ 99.00
5. MYLOxr6 14.09 @ 98.57
6. Falc'man 14.303 @ 98.52
7. Falcon73 14.471 @ 96.92
8. Ruger 14.589 @ 95.58
9. Dazzler351 14.623 @ 95.63
10. Xhxrsix 14.66 @ 94.56

and one of our users baliztic bobo did a low 13 in a 250 crossflow cortina. JMM is overated and your facts are wrong.

Falcons aren't one of them, you can do over 90km/hr in first gear in a four speed auto.

lets face it theres not much mods you can do the the barra i6 but they respond very well to minor mods. make the most of it and get a 3 inch. trust me you wont regret it

It isn't for these, many people are running the xr6t cat back which is 3.2inch.

First im not the best speller but that’s irrelevant
Second I meant people put higher gearing to shorten the amount of speed they can get up to in a single, hence the motor revs quicker and generates torque quicker. I never said that 4-speed falcons have short gearing.
Third tell me how many mods can you do to a ba in terms of opening the motor?????
Forth thanks for proving my point
Fifth I had something good I was going to say but I cant remember. So ill end it buy saying that do what the f#*k you want to do, go a 1 inch exhaust if it gives you wet dreams at night. The point I was trying to make was if I were in his position I would’ve gone a 3inch. Cheers. By the way don’t bother re posting relpys to this post because I cbf and don’t care any more

jesus christ didnt think this thread would have progressed(lol) this far.

4dlvr

who gives a rats d**k if the mocks are quick and what exhaust they use

the OP has a ute

which probably carts tools around in, which needs low down for driving around town, not for taking down the drag strip.

if all he is after is a quicker 1/4 time then sure, maybe 3" system would suite him, but not until he has the other mods which require the extra flow of the 3" exhaust.

i bet in a week or 2 you will read this and realise how much of a d**k you are for arguing for the sake of it.

Why, a 3" zorst is OVERKILL on a Falcon 6 that isnt turbo'd. a 2.5 is fine system for a falcon UNLESS it is turbo'd. and go and find the quickest STREET LEGAL N/A I6 Falcon, $10 says it isnt JMM because there are a few people who have run 13's in 100% legal cars, JMM ran the 13.3 with slicks, diff gears, stripped interiors and presumable dropped exhausts, and on a non standard (i.e full aftermarket) ECU, others have run 13's with diff gears, full interiors, STREET Tyres, chipped stock ECU's and full exhausts (OED666 springs to mind) my reccomendation would be an off the shelf 2.5" catback with 2 mufflers, gives a good note, decent power and is unobtrusive (i.e, QUIETER)

We dont open the motor cause we dont have too. The stock cams are good and controlled very nicely by the ECU, anything else effecting the engine itself can be done by the flash tuner. Engine can also withstand a beating in N/A form so internals can stay put. Otherwise, we can do the zorst, intake, underdrives, larger throttle bodies, and anything else engine wise including opening the engine would be bugger all gain for money spent. Your N/A motor will be at its limit. However if your like jmm and have marketing money to blow, you can go ahead and port the heads and increase the compression to wipe 0.1 off your et.

your tight slick and for that reason i will go on, just for the fun of it.
if im being a d**k then im sure one of the moderators will let me no. and if thats the case i would be more then happy to pm everyone who posted in this thread a apology.

Dansedgli thanks, i almost forgot about that,

smiley235 your exactly right when saying that a na i6 has a limit of mods, and because of the vct, the barra is much more limited then e-series i6's in terms of mods, that is the reason to why im stressing. on the jimmock website he claims that get gets 4rwkw more off a 3inch exhaust the a 2.5 for maximum peformance a 3 inch would be the way to go, haha call me a d**k if you may but after all this debating i still stand by my opinion.
at the end of the day its each to his own, what more can i say

cheers guys's.
i think all i need is a 2 1/2 inch. as i have only upgraded the air box. and my next mod in mind will only be to put a bigger throttle body on. nothing to massive and i prob wont. if i want power i'd trade it in for a xr6t. like i said mainly something that sounds great. but why not a bit of extra power if your gonna spend $700+
thanks guy's :D

If you were trying to squeeze every last kw, and had big mods planned, 3" would be the go.

But you're not, so go the off the shelf 2.5", something like a redback.
It'll be cheaper and easier.

I recommend getting the middle muffler with at the very least a resonator in the tailpipe, because they are really really really loud with just a single straight through muffler.
Mate of mine had paceys with a redback 2.5", and just a single muffler.
It was crazy loud. Hes just got a resonator put in the tailpipe, its much better now.

Also, don't waste your money on the bigger throttle body. If its an auto, I'd put the money towards shorter diff gears and an LSD.

or a tranny cooler if it doesnt already have one! especially cos you tow alot.

because its a ute you can just grab the diff gears from an au xr6 ute which is 3.45 lsd and is a straight swap over.
