When I had white smoke coming out of my exhaust it ended up being coolant leaking into #6 cylinder, head gasket was leaking.

You sure it's smoke and not condensation (as it will still smell like normal exhaust fumes)

It might be an issues ... it might not.
There is a CO2 test I think that can be done to diagnose it.

But you mentioned that it does it for a little while and then stops ... if it was head gasket ... it would do it all the time. That was my impression anyway.

Not neccessarily coolant may enter the combustion chamber when engine is stopped, then while engine is running pressure in cylinders prevents coolant from re-entering, rather over-pressurises cooling system. It all depends on the leak.

You certain its white and not blue?

Blue smoke = Oil
White smoke = water (condensation or coolant)
Black smoke = engine running rich

White smoke - unburn't fuel

may be wrong, havent had to think bout it in so long.
