okay as most of u might know im wrecking my EA. and I have a bit of a problem with removing the engine at the moment. I was thinking if it is possible to pull the engine apart bit by bit while its still in the engine bay.....like changing the head gasket. cause i don't have an engine stand or hoist i think that was the only way. would it be still heavy if the rocker cover, the rockers, cam, valves, springs etc are taken out? is the sump heavy? what about the middle bit of the engine (im guessing the head?)

cheers

phong =P~

look at this way. You can lift the head, cam and all in. You can just lift the crank. They are like 30-40kg. But the block is one mofo. You never getting that out. Me and dad could JUST lift a VK 303 block on its own into the back of a wagon.

As they said go hire one for 30$ a day.
