Yeah i guess your right, getting my hands on the tools necessary to get the engine in and out is probably the biggest problem I have. Also, im wanting a EL tickford engine, so the things that needed to be changed on my car, im not exactly sure if il be able to get that done at home as well

daniel, just put 1-2 egg yokes into the radiator...ur head gasket problem will be solved....

thanks mate.ive decided to just go with the standard au xr6 and not vct fitted for 1150bucks lol would of cost me at least $1200 just to do the head gasket without even checking anything else..

never actually put a motor in just transmissions and worked on parts of the engine lol but the guys here make it sound so easy would have liked to have given a hand but ur too far away lol

come down to campbellfield man its not far they've got another au motor if you want it?they're called thomastown @uto part on 38-40 colbert road campbellfield australia i talked them down from 1000 too 500 just by saying rajab motors would do it for 500 lmaoo
