yeah thats the gist i got too when i bought mine, if its crap (or dont match your car specs) wade are happy to discuss other options..

as for mine 1004-112 i fkn love it. its similar to xr6 though so prolly not worth upgrading.. go another step up,. billet stg 3 or something and chip it.

i am impressed with the price, (hint buy 5 and get a discount with mates)

my cam goes really hard with decent exhaust extrators and manny :):):)

my mate (Smackdown) has just put his crow stg 3 in his ef. and its made a diff but the chip was for an el so hes getting it reflashed.. without the chip it seemed similar to the wade st 2, but we'll see how it goes next week with the fuel ratios better. :) hot high hopes.

CHRIS : is there a time limit for sending back the cams from our cars,, we been waiting ffor the last guy to do his install, then we'll send all 5 back. im hanging out for my deposit back! :)

No time limit within reason. Since the cams should be returned in say three parcels...why not send what you have now and the rest later.
Thanks for your positive views of the 1004.

Has anyone got before/after dyno graphs with these cams in? particuarly interested in the new 1604. Remember to also list any mods and type of car.

Post the pics here?

Thanks.

I thought EF and EL chips wern't compatible due to different pin outs.

Will you get better improvements with one of those Vernier Cam Gear to dial in the new cam?

the chip just needs reflashing to work - already spoken to Chiptorque, and its on its way.

as for the vernier gear - we have spoken to lots of people, and have got lots of different answers. the majority from people who know the most seem to be that he doesn't need it. so he hasn't thrown it in. may do so in the future to make sure hes getting the most out of it however.

That question was ment to be inregards to all cam shafts. Like say I purchase a Wade one now, will the improvements on my engine be better if I get a vernier cam gear aswell?

depends on the grind & your engine (going on what i've been told) that is if your engine is really tired, then you'd be better off changing the timing chain so that you are able to advance/retard the cam correctly - i have a stage 2 crow cam, and have been told i wouldn't be gaining much by throwing the vernier gear in, as my cam is working very well as-is...

i had a wade cam in my EF XR6 and it was slower by 0.5 sec on the 1/4 mile.

so personly i say no don't do it.
but thats just me, and i'll never buy an other cam from wade.

I thought we'd come to an amicable agreement when we offered to replace your cam with another grind of your choosing at no charge. We haven't heard from you since.

WADE CAMS

i know i havn't gotten back to yet and i'm not saying your product is not worth buying or is of poor quality. I sold the cam onto some one who put it in and EF GLI and they saw an improvment. so i can't fault the cam at all and it would have been a waste to send it back only for you to find nothing wrong with the cam.

i personly wouldn't put a 1004 in an XR6 but do recommend them for the standard engine. I the comment about not buying from you again, is the same opinion i have of CROW CAMS after they cost me about $3000 buy suplying the wrong information about vavle springs for a cam in my escort 1600. (ended in valve bounce 2000RPM befor the upper limmit of the cams power band)
that engine was the reason i got my last cam from you. but just like crow cams the promise was not delivered and as such i will try other options next time.

I would like to say that your customer service is one of the best i have delt with in the performance aftermarket, and i do recommend your products to other people.

look you will see a increase in an xr6 engine like i said, we have dyno results of a 5rwkw gain
for just under 130 thats excellent value

a power increase is pointless if it doesn't translate in to better on track performance

Do you have that as a .JPG ?

Can you e-mail it to duckboy_01@hotmail.com

Otherwise what is the difference? is there less power anywhere in the rev range and what is the max power @ RPM?
