we all know the XR6 one is bigger than a stock one. but talk to wade and they'll try and tell you the XR6 cam is the same as a GLI cam.

so that makes three of us that have lost power from using a wade cam

I dont want to hear this. I am about to install my wade cam soon, even ordered it also. Its the new profile, 1604 I think. I will be able to tell you how it goes in a (almost stock) EF XR6.

Gimme a PM in two weeks and I can fill you in.

i got a 6rwkw gain from putting the cam in, my mate with the xr6 ef engine got a 5RWkw gain also, they are a good bang for your buck

(I e-mailed this to Wade last week, still waiting on the reply)
When you put your cam in, do you need to use Vernier Cam gear to get the timing right?

Disco Frank, sorry mate I read the thread as efster having an XR6 and wanting to replace that cam with one from wade. I have recently ordered my the new 1604 grind to go in soon. I hence assumed that we had the same cars?

Anyhow, I went to repco and asked after the venier timing gears. Had a vauge idea of what they were but could'nt help. Went to O.G speed shop after a timing gear set for an EF Falcon, will pick that up tommorow. Shop counter assured me this would ensure that my new cam had the correct timing.

I thought we'd come to an amicable agreement when we offered to replace your cam with another grind of your choosing at no charge. We haven't heard from you since.

yeah thats the gist i got too when i bought mine, if its crap (or dont match your car specs) wade are happy to discuss other options..

as for mine 1004-112 i fkn love it. its similar to xr6 though so prolly not worth upgrading.. go another step up,. billet stg 3 or something and chip it.

i am impressed with the price, (hint buy 5 and get a discount with mates)

my cam goes really hard with decent exhaust extrators and manny :):):)

my mate (Smackdown) has just put his crow stg 3 in his ef. and its made a diff but the chip was for an el so hes getting it reflashed.. without the chip it seemed similar to the wade st 2, but we'll see how it goes next week with the fuel ratios better. :) hot high hopes.

CHRIS : is there a time limit for sending back the cams from our cars,, we been waiting ffor the last guy to do his install, then we'll send all 5 back. im hanging out for my deposit back! :)
