Hi guys.
this is my first post and i also do not know to much about car's sadly enough...

i have a 1997 el Xr6 and i want to put some modifications into the beast.
At the moment i just want to start small then do some serious stuff but whats the best things for me at the moment to increase the power at the moment.
i have an ok budget so can spend a wee bit. but some hints and tips would be appreciated..

Cheers Lex

Extractors and 2.5" exhaust is a good start.

+1 to start off with.

Maybe improve the intake using BA set up or custom stuff. Larger intake snorkel if you don't have the Tickford one.

bored throttle body. What a waste on a standard car. And do the tune very last.

go intake mods first; hi flow filter, upgrade the piping, upgrade the intake snorkel (or buy a growler pack)
Then your exhaust; Extractors (pacemaker work best for off the shelf type), high flow cat, and a mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust. Yours being a XR6 will be 2.5", but not mandrel bent.
then if you're that way inclined, get Adam at ATS to tickle the auto a bit, and maybe even some shorter diff gears.
Then maybe a cam and some valve springs, and a vernier gear.
then a tune. Should make around the 150-160rwkw mark. Would make a spritely daily driver
