250 Pre Crossflow engine. How much power would it be putting out at the rears, no mods?

Reason for asking is I have a chance to get one (as long as my dads mate rings soon) and i wanna know how it will go.

Not too much at all, the ones I've driven are very sluggish.

Be a man JB, drop a 351 and 4 speed in the old XB coupe and do it some justice.

You should thank the lord every F**k' night that you have the opportunity to even THINK about buying one.

Just in case you didn't know. I am OBSESSED with coupes. They are so hot!!! :)

I have always wanted one, but it was just a question, anyway i would still get it if it had a 3 cylinder dihatsu charade engine in it!

Then get a warm 351, beefed up 9 inch diff, beefed up toploader bigger brakes, lowered springs and leaves and gone out and killed some HSV's :D

Sounds lurverly :)

O.K to answer you original question:

I've never driven a pre x flow, but a x flow goes alright in my humble opinion.

I had a stock as a rock XF Falcon that kept up with VL commies....

My sisters boyfriend has an XF ute that has a 250 in it that is stock and actually goes HARDER than his AU...

If the coupe were mine, I'd wack an XR6 T driveline in it, paint it black with silver Cobra style stripes. Mmmmmmmmm yum!

That, in my humble, would be the ULTIMATE vehicle.

I would seriously give my left nut for one. No drugs, the knife doesn't even have to be clean....

now i definately do not agree with downingj!
XR6T in an old coupe! yuk yuk yukl yuk yuk! next you'll be fitting supra rear taillights! Old Clevo with a big shinny bug catcher on the top (or supercharger if you have the dollars) is what I'd have! But then I think you need to keep it matched with the era.

Now come on! There would be nothing wrong with fitting Supra tailights to a coupe...........I'd also fit a very large spoiler with more downforce than an F1 car, cannon exhaust and put as many stickers up and down the front guards that I can fit...

Seriously don't like the idea of an XR6T driveline in a lightweight coupe body?

I agree, you gotta stick with the V8 if she's Cobra or GT. But not if it's a stock 250 mont...

Each to their own I guess.

Either way coupes are HOT!!!

Mate that XF ute cant be stock if its quicker than an AU...no way possibble its faster. I've owned a stock XF and they are dogs. Only about 117kw from the factory.
.......
Jim Beam you should chase up that coupe, why dont you ring the guy?!

Weird s**t I know.

99.99% positive she's stock.

Either it's a very fit 250, or his AU licks balls...

Nothin wrong with XF's either  You've gotta love a car that screams its guts of gettin to 40km in first gear when pedalled hard :), and requires 50 turns on the wheel to get it to go around a round a bout (mines had no power steer) :)

My dads mate was going down to where ever it is for a week and was gonna check it out for me, if it all was good he would ring, if not there would be no call.
There was no call, and now I'm dissapointed. (no the guy checking it out wouldnt have bought it himself as there was a 302 there that he got dibs on since it was his mate and all.)
