leave it, restore this restore that, f**k sake it aint ready, don't destroy something fairly original, I hate people that just get a car and say it needs to pulled to pieces and look like a car off the showroom, just drive the f**k.
although not saying don't put the running gear upgrade in
it's like my lane the previous C**k sucker that owned it stripped it to pieces, it's now had the windscreen broken and nobody make rubbers for it etc., C*** of a thing he did to it.

It looks pretty clean overall, and I'd be thinking long & hard about what do you want? A cruiser? If so, just restore the items like seats, new rubbers & so on, paint up the engine to look like new, and just drive it & enjoy it.

If it was a bastardized rusted up s**t, I'd say go the whole hog on it, but it doesn't appear to be that.

If you must convert it to a v8, keep all the original running gear, so you can swap it back or sell it down the track as a matching numbers original if that's what someone else would want in it....

Cheers

yeah I think i'm going to put the 351 in it and keep the 6cyl in the shed and when or if i go to sell it the car will come with both. I just finding it hard to make a choice.. I already have another project going. I'm putting a BA motor into a EF and then I'm trying to do this at the same time.... :o

Being a brown XB sedan they aint worth much

but nothing is better than a 351C they can sound so good and can pull out power with some simple mods(dad has more than his fair share of 351C motors and blocks and parts) and dual 3" exhaust straight pipes(no muffler) with a huge cam sounds s**t hot m8 then if u want put on some roller rockers and 4V heads, Quad Barrel Carb u will get power to match the sound

dads XC cobra we bought modded with that and OMFG it sounds SOOOOOOO good shakes the house and everything easily 400HP no question was even more scary when it had the auto shift kit in it that it came with u could smash ur head into the dash and then into the seat in a second painful and scary
u can hear the cobra almost anywhere in town when he drives it (rare as a blue moon on the 10/10/10) ull see people stop what there doing and trying to locate the noise it gets ALOT of attention it can be out once a yr for 30mins and get more attention than your daily does in a yr
mostly because of the noise as u can hear it blocks away no copper has tried to pull it over and its once got driven from heart of brisbane to here only problem is heat it cant sit long (thank god for thermo's)

just a suggestion

yeah ok guys it looks like i have just sold it..... making good $$$ so I get to keep my 351C in my XF... but I'm buying a BA and I'm going to put the BA motor with a 6speed manual in my EF with all the BA inside... dash, seats, doors every thing..... and one day will buy another XB one that is worse then this one. that way I can make up my mind on what to do. This one is just toooo clean to be f**k with really. i should put some pics up of the EF and show every one what I'm doing
