Hey guys, this is something that's probably been posted before but for the life of me i've only been able to find snippets of useful information. Blown the head gasket on my I6 xh, i figured from some of the fellas on here that an AU head gasket is the way to go cause it ups the compression and is especially better for the LPG but would a full AU VRS kit be suitable or would i have to get a VRS specifically for my XH then buy the AU gasket seperate? Also i want to get the head reco'd and am wondering if anyone can recommend a place in melbourne, preferably in the eastern suburbs? Finally, i'm a first year apprentice and i've done a bit of this stuff before but only on BMW's (that's who i work for), would it be worth getting a workshop manual?

thanks a ton to everyone, any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

rock on guys

Buy a AU MLS head gasket and AU head bolts (Be sure to torque them to the AU settings and not the E Series/XH torque settings).
