alrightie, got my new snorkel on and am ready for the newie cruise now, here is a before and after shot, also a quick drive last night saw a noticable improvement in pickup :D

Next week will probably under take the spraying process.

This is a bastard job on mine, unsure of others as i havent yet done the thermo fan upgrade (Coming next). had to cut the snorkel off the fan gaurd (b**ch of a job) after that was quiet easy plug and drive, with a few screws.

Hey Kenwood - Good Job.
Considering doing my EA.
How did you remove the old intake slot / port from the radiator shroud??
When you say cut, what with ??
I was thinking of running a hacksaw blade along horizontally from
the passenger side.
Any other methods I could try??
Cheers

Hack saw works fine but i found that using just the blade is easier to get some of it off.

BTW, that bulge in the standard scoop is to reduce induction noise, little holes in the scoop that go into that bulge, didnt really do that great a job anyway

Hey guys, just fitted an XH snorkel to my EA. Yep, took some hack sawing but i reckon it was worth it. Makes some pretty nice noises after 2000rpm :).

get them from wreckers for like $30 or something, takes 5 mins to install with an angle grinder to give it a good seat.
