If you increase the volume of the intake snorkel you will gain a small increase on the dyno with the addition of a high flow filter.

I fitted a XH snorkel to my EB and discovered a low end power increase (I still had standard plugs, Leads and panel filter).
It wasn't anything too significant but it was noticable.

The standard airbox would be sufficient though with a high flow air filter in it.

XH snorkel is an excellent mod for its price, i got one and cut the middle bit out and made it into one big hole instead of two small pipes.

Image
i used the insulation material coz it was the easist and cheapest (-free) way to seal it back up

nah its not too big at all, it made a very noticable difference in low/mid range power and a tiny bit up high.

The more fresh , clean, cool (especially cool) air available the better and if under acceleration the system gets pressurized somewhat the better off you are.
