Hey Guys !
I got a 97 XH XR6 and am planning on putting a 3" exhaust on it for something different ! im just wondering if anyone has done ity before and if it will be too noisy or drone alot ? Where i work as an apprentice mechanic we have a proffesional exhaust bloke and im getting him to put on pacemaker extractors, 100cell Hi-Flow cat and a 3" exhaust! Ive got quotes on a cam and new valve springs plus a dyno tune because my best mates dad owns a performance shop ! Whats everyones thoughts on all this ? Cheers Jesse |

It will drone like a ba5tard.....even a 2 & 1/2" drones.

I wouldn't bother with a 3inch, unless your planning on turbocharging it down the track. It will drone like a mofo. Especially if it's auto!

3" is a waste of time on a Stock Motor.

They are loud and are only useful if your engine has been highly modded. I wouldn't have a 3" for a daily.

I have a 3" but I dont find it to be overly loud and to be honest it dosent drone a great deal.

Yeah I saw the video of yours on CVE's facebook page it seems a big louder and different note even, mine dosent have a hotdog on it which must make a differnce.

i have a 3" and it drones under load but at 100 its not bad. i can always turn the stereo up

I have a wade 977B cam, ported cylinder head, J3 chip that's programed to the cam, shims for the cam because the cam is a regrind & other small bit aswell. This combo with intake & exhaust mods made 150rwk. It is all up for sale due to other mods i have done to my engine. If your interested please measage me. Going cheap.
