Mates XH XR6 is holding revs. Car in neutral, push the accelerator, engine will rev up and hold the rev even though your no longer on the accelerator.
I told him to clean the ISC with carby cleaner, he says he's done so to no improvement.
Any other ideas?
Were going to try my ISC on it see if maybe his is shagged.

He's bringing it round this evening going to try the ISC change over (I'll check how well he cleaned his out), check the throttle cable and spring and I'll disconnect the battery for a while.

Check the power steering idle sensor. Sounds pretty far fetched but on the end of the rack under the brake booster is an electric sensor that ups the revs at full lock. This problem had me stumped until I changed this.
