Hello all, this is my first post on this forum.

Im just writing asking for any advice/experiences with a few parts that im looking to put onto my car.

Currently i have a xforce 2.5" cat back on my car, and i love it... great sound

Now i am looking at getting a high flow cat and extractors.

Unfortunately i dont know to much about cars to know the exact spec that i need etc.

I have preety much chosen pacemaker extractors, just wondering if there is different types or just the standard comp ones for the xr6.. as im looking to buy off ebay so want to get the right ones.

2nd question is with the high flow cat, do i have to get the 2.5" aswell or can i get a 3".
Will all these parts fit in together ?.. i have heard that i might need a Y pipe or something because the ba has a split ?

also what is a resonator ? and what does it do ? should i look into that aswell ?

Thankyou for reading.. if anyone wants to see the listing for the extractors or high flow cat.. let me know and ill post the link.. if thats easier to answer my questions.

sorry for my lack of knowledge lol

thanks once again

Get 2.5" if it is NA and a high flow cat if you wish... not essential. Dont get 3" for NA as its too wide.

I run X-Force extractors and redback 2.5" cat back exhaust with standard cat. Sounds good, goes pretty well.

There is stacks of info about this floating around the place (its generally the first mod everyone does :))

Cheers

hes already runing the 2.5'' cat back

if your looking for future improvements i'd go the 3'' cat that way your not restricted if you ever put a 3'' cat back in (or twin 2.25'') this may involve using some reducers though depending on the workmanship. if ur planning on throwing it in and leaving it as is go the 2.5''.

pacemakers seem to be the weapon of choice for ford owners although there are other options out there that are cheaper and while maybe not parallel the performance of the pacies on paper, in the average stocka you wouldn't know the difference on the street.
you should be looking at the construction of the pacies, and the difference between variants to decide on what you want. some produce more torque some produce more power.
