just wondering, whether to buy a BA XR6 and add mods or to buy a BA XR6T stock? which would be a better bet? could adding mods to the XR6 get it up with the XR6T?

as good as the T is is, you cant go past the stallwart of the BA range the ever popular XR6 N/A sure they are far more common thatn the T , but they have from what ive read hold better resale value, they can be a 14s car with minor mods, and really you save a bit of $$$ on insurance, if you want a go fast car to be mr traffic lights and get serious fast, then yes buy a T. If you want something that will get you around and quick enough then the N/A version will do just fine, plenty of good deals going on xr6's too at the mo'

just my opinion.

hahahah F6. LOL

Naaa id go the XR6t BUT you can never go past the nice sound of a V8.

All comes doew to what you are willing to pay and what you are going to do. No point having a XR6t and all you do is drive in traffic all day.

XR6 Turbo for sure....

They are really hot cars. The N/A should be parked on Oxford street with the other pretend men.

I reckon they are Holdens version of a Gen3. Easy to make friggin good power from.

if you want a n/a just save your money and buy a xt.

you gotta be joking, the only thing you can compare between a xr6t and a gen3 is that their both vehicles, apart from that xr6t is a much better and faster car(not to mention way better if your willing to modify it).

GenIII's are easy to make power, yes, but only to around 240rwkw, thats the most i've seen out of a GENIII before massive money was spent. My mate has spent well into $16,000 (thats trade prices too) to make 300rwkw out of his genIII VT, NA.

300rwkw is an easyily acheivable power figure with a T without spending alot of money

*sneeze*.
Sorry, I'm allergic to one eyed s**t.
Try less than 10k for a head, cam and exhaust package for 300+rwkw.

mate.. spend 10 grand on a ba xr6t and your running an easy 350rwkw. and the only part a xr6t has been changed in the motor is the valve springs. so i think the xr6t will do the job mate... dont need anything else

yeah and how long does your gearbox last.
the commo v8 running a 6 speed manual will always be stronger.
