hey guys thinking about swapping my stock muffler with a resi. its a whole 2.5 inch system with extractors just and a resi right after the cat. i had the straight through muffler replaced back to the stock one cause my dad hated the noise. but that was a few years back. so what are your opinions on a straight through 2.5" with twin resinators??? if anyone has vids or pics of there setup that would be great!

Sounds like a piece of f**k s**t.
My mate had that setup on an EF he bought, manual with a cam, and it just sounded so displeasing it wasnt funny. You'd never have picked it for a Falcon six, it sounded like some hyped up 4 pot. |

you will probably have a lot of cop trouble with a straight pipe but with 2 resonators i reckon it should be ok i had 2 on mine was quite as until you boot it

i runa straight through exhaust with cat and a tiny little hot-dog to make it louder
everyone says it sounds like a tractor. i love it. sounds like a spitfire fighter plane

On my Eb Ghia I6, I run pacey extractors, 2.5" AC delco cat, 2.5" pipe to a straight thru muffler, then 2.5" over the diff to a redback resonator. I fit the resonator to get the noise down to a legal limit. The car has a stock cam, and while it doesn't sound too bad, it would sound much better with a cam in it.
Two resonators = NAY from me. Wouldn't sound all that good, without a muffler.... Cheers ToranaGuy

if you want it semi-loud then a large straight thru muffler & a resonator will be plenty enough
if you want it to sound mega s**t & loud, then twin resonators will suffice If you want a tinny, speedway, demolition derby sound, then a single resonator will do If you want a smooth, quiet mellow sound then 2 straight thru mufflers & single resonator is the g.o. |

Well how bout do it like ford-racer46
Paceys 4499's, 200cpi hi-flow cat, straight pipe, small mufler replaced at the massive one, then stright over the diff and out Sounds tank as, or have a hotdog as the muffler
