Ive just bought myself 2 x 12" JBL P1220 subs in a ported JBL box..
What would be a good amp to power these monsters?
Monoblock though im assuming..

The details on these speakers are here:

By the way, these subs are 2ohm.

Cheers.

Well there goes your boot for sure anyways.......

I doubt you'd find any two channel amps at a decent price to produe that much power so monoblock would be cool. If they're 2 ohm, then you could run them in parallel for a 1ohm load, but a lot of people don't like 1ohm loads even for monoblock amps. I honestly thought that's why they were made?!?

A mate bought an epsilon monoblock from goldcoast car sound for $799, but he got it a fair bit cheaper I think? It might do the trick?
You'd have to run it at a 1 ohm load, but both subs will see an easy 400wrms

A monoblock for sure.

I am using a DDM1 in Lisa car works well with remote sub gain control and at 1ohm it produces over 1000rms

Earthquake Digital would another way to go. Over 2000rms at 1ohm should do the job nicely. Second hand you can get them for $850...

I have an earthquake Digital i will let go for $850
Retail for them is over $1,700

2000rms at 2ohm
Over 2500rms at 1ohm

They are nice amps, but i'm only running a single 12 and dont need that much power.
