im currently running 2 12"pioneer subs off alpine amp, 6x9 kenwood rear and 6 inch 4way pioneers u front. with the extra bass from the subs are the 6x9's really necessary?the reson i ask is cos theyre pretty old kenwoods where as my fronts are new. i want to swap the 6x9's from the rear for the 4ways at the front and buy a decent set of splits for my front stage. sound like a good idea???

the 6 x 9's are definately not needed and your proposel is the best thing to do, move your 6inch to the rear shelf and get some nice splits.

I agree 2 ways at quite sufficient but sinece he already had them it isn't worth getting rid of them and getting new ones.
