just thought i would post up a couple of pictures of my install.
my xr8 came with type r's in the front doors and the rear shelf.
i added the alpine deck from my old ef and added a couple of amps behind the back seat and a small bandpass box with a 10" alpine sub in the boot. the amps are a monoblock pioneer 250w rms for the sub and an alpine v12 f-345 4x75w rms to run the splits, front and back. the tape on the amps is so they don't scratch, as they sit hard up against the LPG tank.
after i tuned it i was surprised at the bass i am getting. i had to silicon all the frame up on my boot lid as it sounded like it was falling off the car. :D

Looks good, besides all the messy cables.

Hide them by cutting slits into the carpet backing of the rear seats where the connections/terminals are. Then remove the plastic retaining thing that holds the boot carpet to the back seat, feed the wires under the carpet and through the slits.

Makes it look neater...much neater.

phong =P~
