I have this amp, Philips DA4040 (or something like that), and it's got 8 speaker wires (as it's 4 channel), and 4 power wires - remote, constant earth, constant power, as most/all amps do, but also got accesories power. Is this comon? Anyone know why? What amperage wire would I use on this (trying to know weather I can just run a line from the cigarette liter). The amp has an inbuilt 40 amp fuse, and I've fitted a second 40amp fuse on the constant power line to it. Anyone know why it has this? Or can I just tap a second wire from the constant power to the accessories power - or would this cause the amplifier to stay on all the time (eccept the remote wire, which it also has, should tell it when to turn on and off)?
Queer.

Any one? It's the only thing holding me back from putting the seat back over it and finishing it off...

acc and rem are different , you can hook them both up to ign source and the amp will work but you can also hook them up seperatly to diff parts of the cars ign cycle and the amp will operate differently either that or its an acc output, measure it with a multimeter, then try putting 12v on it and see what happens :D

turns out it's a 12V output, ie. if you want to run a cooling fan for the amp, or neon or whatever... Good idea.
