Hey guys,

The old owners of my car have fitted an alarm to it. The only problem is the actual siren it fitted right near the extractors. When they get hot, its causing the siren to slowly melt.

Where have others got their alarm siren?

My alarm in my EA was installed where the vacuum pump for the cruise control goes, between master cylinder and inner guard. Had to move it out to install the cruise.

If your looking for a place out of the way, what about inside the right hand guard below the vacuum canister.

Mine was installed just below the rediator reservoir (Front drivers side in EL) it is practical for wiring and there's space. But be warned, if your radiator hose springs a leak (as mine did recently) the alarm will get wet and crack the s**t. This is especially annoying if you don't have your over-ride keys with you!
