Hmmm, my next deck will have to be a Alpine. They make realllly good looking ones, and meant to be quality from what I have heard. Ooo, and the AM/FM channel buttons aren't tiny like on mine either, lol.

Pioneer really need to make an effort and get their decks looking good, coz Christ!

dont need to mount it anywere the HU controls the ipod :)

I just have about 10cm of the cable coming out into the little bit behind the shifter under the pocket, keeps it out of the way but easy to get to :)

how much did you pay for the HU? im looking for an ipod compatable alpine HU and that one looks tidy as!

I paid $510 for the 9857. RRP is $599, but they do a model below with only 1 line of text and is about $429 from memory

Thats what I have, I got it for $340ish :)

Its a quality head-unit, great sound quality and its easy as to use, dosen't look to shabby either!

Yeah i plan on getting either that model or the next one up, love the Alipne HU's! Mines bloody old too so im in need of an upgrade. :roll:
