Guys ive started getting static on the AM band of my cars stereo. Any ideas??

Its the same noise you get near power lines. Almost continuous bet there are days where its fine.
I replaced the head unit and fiddled with the aerial without effect.

Is there a suppression capacitor on the coil of e series cars?
