Posting for someone else, my uncle has an AU XR8 with the premium sound option and is using an aftermarket pioneer head unit. He would like to know the wiring code for the wires that would normally connect the factory HU to the FMS or whatever amp....so what colour is what and what its for

umm not quite so he is connecting the new hu straight to the wiring behind the dash the amp only runs the 2 rear speakers plus the sub... for him to use that amp he will need run RCA outs from the deck to the amp as the ford preom sound has a wiring plug that goes from HU to the amp i got the wiring diag here if ya need it

and the standard wire output
