Thanks ex-cabi.
Since then i've ditched the phone cradle and gone bluetooth.
Always felt the cradle stuck out like dogs balls.

Hey maximus i have a very similar setup to what you have im just wondering what you made your edging out of around ur cd player cause the two i got they dont fit

I carefully cut the shape out of 6mm MDF with a jigsaw. Then did lots of hand filing and fitting until it was the right shape.
Then painted it with fibreglass resin to make it smooth.
Finally, spray painted it silver.

I put a small cut on the back about half way up so I could put a slight angle in. The cut weakened the wood but the resin strengthened it again in the new shape.
