Hey guys, Long time lurker, but first time poster so be nice.

I have a Territory Ghia, and have just come into the possession of an iPod. I remember reading somewhere on the Forums about an auxiliary connector into the Premium Sound System, but have looked and found nothing. Does anybody know where the auxiliary input into the Territory is? I would be interested to know where it is, because the iTrip is killing me.

The connector is behind the fuse compartment.

From memory, its white, and is 6 pin....
XXXX
X....X

The X = Pins
Kinda looks like that :?

Dont get it confused with the Phone input connectors, which hang down a lot lower behind the fuse box.
These are 2 Pin (White), and 4 Pin (Blue).

You have 2 choices here...
1) You can buy the Aux Connector kit from Ford.
Cost is something like $20 or $30...
Im not sure what the part number is, but the spare parts guys will know what you are talking about.
You will get the plug, which plugs directly in to the socket behind the fuse block, and an 3.5mm Stereo Audio Socket, that screws in to a hole just below the tissue holder.
This is the nicest solution, but if you are a tight a** like myself, its a bit of a Rip off......
2) You can use mini spade connectors, and hook one up yourself
Though to be honest, I am very Very Lazy, and would probably fork out the $$$ to get the connector....

Let me know if you want to go the 2nd way, or if you want more info.
I can send you some further information.
Just P.M. me with your email address, and Ill send them your way.
Cheers
Matti

Hey Matti, Thanks for the reply. I will have a look on the weekend, and see what is the better way to go. Just a question, with my Mobile Phone connected, what message will be on the display? Will it be Media or Tel (Like on the AU Radio)? My only worry is the bloke who installed the Handsfree Kit plugged it into the wrong spot.

Can I get the information of how to build the connector? I am interested in seeing how hard it would be to build, and if so, bugger Ford, I will stick with the home made job.

Thanks.

Hey guys,
When you connect a mobile phone up using the mobile loom you get a "TEL" display on the ICC.
As for the Aux connection, there is a guy here who has actually written a "How to Guide" with installing your own AUX connection for BA's (should be on the site somewhere!)
Good luck. It's not too hard, I did both the mobile and the aux connection, all working fine.

Good Luck. I am a bit slack, bought cable from Ford - cost $30.

The link appears on a few websites but looks like its down now, can anyone email me the PDF stephen.m.watson@gmail.com As i plan to make my own .. i dont really want the aux input in the center console and it doesnt make sense to pay $30 then rip it apart anyway to extend it ...

Steve

-- Edit i found another explanation, possibly a touch less breif but if someone else is looking
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... =aux+input

and i beleive its 2.8mm spade plugs required i red on another forum.
