I realise this topic has most likely been covered to death already. I havent been on the forums for ages n cant find much info so i will ask

I have a bf fairmont which i want to upgrade the stereo on but want to keep using the factory unit if possible. I kno i can put an aftermarket headunit in the tissue box holder but would rather not if possible. Now how would i go connecting an amp + sub to it? Is an amp for interior speakers possible?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Mate,

Check out this thread, has all the answers you'll need. But i recommend buying an amp that has a line converter built in so you can take the input directly from the rear speakers. (Got pics of this amp on the thread) That's if you havent bought the amp already. :)

Post some pics when your finished :).

Skip this line level converter crap and goto ASL Logistics in Dandenong South and get them to install proper line out RCA's on your headunit, for all 5 channels, plus they will give you a proper amp trigger.

Cost is $220.

Or $100 if you are really nice to me and I can show you where on the board to tap into
