I just came across this website and found some really cheap prices. I didn't read much into it, but it looks like it's an online company that buys American gear and then sells it here for great prices. It wasn't until I read "Special Order item, will take approx 14-28 days delivery time, but well worth the wait due to the massive price saving !!
Please note AM radio will NOT WORK ON this deck, but FM AND everything ELSE works perfectly fine. Besides, who listens TO AM anymore" that I realised what was going on.

Interesing find - but I'm not sure why I hadn't found it earlier?

ERrrr.... Not while i'm driving?

But that's not the point. It was their comment that made me realise why they were so cheap. They most likely aren't even an available model here in australia, so comparing RRP is kinda wrong.

There's only 26 members on the site, so I doubt they'd be selling all that much yet.

It's a brand that's commonly sold in America. From what I've read (carsound.com - forum) it's a cheap crappyish brand - somewhat along the lines of BOSS here. But on the other hand, Boss doesn't seem to be as crappy over there as it is here- which leads me to believe that they have a better line of products - as well as our crappy line.

If you buy from this site - I seriously doubt that you will get a proper warranty, unless they are willing to support it themselves........

I had no idea about that. The Boss over there has Mono Block amps too. Some of them claim to be Thousands of Watts RMS for a very low price.

I still haven't found anything on that website about their warranty etc.... has anyone else?

warranty would possibly be valid if you wanted to send it back to the USA and if you had a proper receipt from a store in the US, but no possibility of that happening out here....

So how can they possibly be running a legal store?

But then again, just because it's a .au domain, doesn't mean it's IN australia??

legally, it's regarded as a grey import

there's a few companies on EBAY that do it as well...

I see, so basically instead of using Ebay, they've just got their own website.

Saves you a bit of trouble though If you truly want to take part in grey imports......

the manufacturers ban it because its shonky s**t like this that gives them a bad name.....a*** f**k buy s**t and then when something goes wrong, they kick up a fuss when they cant get a warranty repair

usually whoever sold the equipment to the importer gets in a bit of s**t over it

unfortunately, it's the way people are going to go, especially when the retailers out here who can offer good prices to people who buy a decent amount, dont go lower than they offer everyone else (namely those clowns on sydney street)
