That little blue box is the scan converter from carconverters.com product #236. I know theres a couple of guys on here that use it. Makes it fairly easy. I used the TV out on the computer fed into this.

If you have a more powerful PC with a decent video card u can do it without this, have a search for my powerstrip thread -link below

ah my bad, i thought u meant mobile, but reading it again u mean motherboard :P

its a celeron 1.3ghz intel 810E chipset... its the same as the guts of a cappucino, quick little thing. not much ram tho, only 128...im just impressed with its size... it fits inside a 5.25" cd housing

yes indeed. i would say their only fall back is graphics really, well for games anyway. it runs pretty quick.. well as fast as celeron 1.3 with 128mb ram does. but hey, they pull less than 5 amp so power is no worries (laptop power supply) and they fit inside a 5.25" cd drive bay!

I use one of those too. But not with a carputer. A 'regular' after market DVD deck. Works great.

Am toying with the idea of OBDII but not sure what is value for money re: software/hardware
