ok whats worth buying easy i will tell you best bang for you buck
i have been playing with CB radio now since 1975 so i might know a trick or two lol.

PRM8030 remote puts out about 25 to 30 watts (remote head)
Icom IC400pro 25 to 30 watts
Icom IC2010 35 watts (remote head)
Tait 2020 25 watts (remote head)
MCS2000 25 to 30 watts (remote head)

you ask why them over a GME or a uniden

All of them put out more 5 watts of power
All of them have better recivers
All of them are better qualaty
All of them well one at a time is cheaper to buy than a new 5 watt CB radio

All of them you can buy the programing lead and get the software off the net to change lots of things in them by computer.

PRM8030 with lead software 6 digit head and control mic and brakets $250 to $300 if it really good nic

Icom IC400pro in good nick about $300 to $350

icom IC2010 in good nick about $350 to $400 with programing lead

Tait 2020 in good nick about $250 to $300

MCS2000 in good nick about $300 to $400

Phillips FM91remote head like what the cops used to use 25watts $150 to $250

Phillips FM92 remote 25 watts $100 to $150
Phillips FM92 local 25 watts $100

Ive got a uniden hr 2510 and a 24 foot home base antenna up 40 foot off the ground

i can run between 12 to 500 watts on hf - depending on how naughty i feel

I have UHF set up - if you want car to car get a handheld - otherwise if you can find a motorola or a tait you laughing

I would not bother with AM its very quiet here
