A & P Electronics has come on board for the 2006 SPL season and will be running a series of test and tune sessions + db drag racing events. The aim is to have an SPL comp every second month and a test and tune every other month.

Entry on the day with scrutineering before the event kicks off.

Cost
$25
$20 for dB drag racing members

You need a volt meter with peak hold function and a clamp meter. Then you play a test tone and it's a bit of simple maths.

I won my class at the SPL day at audio tech here in canberra in super street or what ever....but the guys with DB drag thought the TV was funny and said i could compete that day but if I did at the nats or what ever Id be disqualified cause the distance from the mic to the TV dash mould wasnt enough so all the boot volume..the sound waves were most smashing into the TV screen and not getting all to the mic.

I will post pics soon of the setup so u can see ....i havent posted anypics of the car yet cause i wanna finsih it in maybe a month or two i will or i could email u one...just a bit of a prick i want the car almost finished before i post pics :P

Well it's up to you. Probably jusf post them up.

You must have 12inches clear aroun d the mic sensor placement, but i will need to see how you have it before I will know.

yeah well the guys sorta right i dont have it...if they were able to move the mic about 30 cms to the right it would be okay but yeah rules are rules and its gotta be fair for everyone :(
