I have an annoying rattle in my front drivers side door and it is driving my crazy
I have pulled everything off and tighten it all. I even put thicker screws in the speakers.
Oh and it only rattles with the bass.

take off the trim and check the welds and foam stoppers and see if there is any metal on metal contact, happened in my ba, the impact bar lost a big of the foam that sepperated it between the door skin and bass caused deflection in the skin and thus making it rattle against the impact bar.

i've got the same issue in el xr6 i changed the original 6inch speakers and put alpine 6inch in and ever since then the bloody thing has a rattle in the door trim.i took the door trim off the other day and drove around for a day or 2 and the rattle went away.i cut out bigger holes in the door trim and again the same issue.

either put in a bigger stereo so you don't hear it and still have it rattle apart or leave it alone lol. bigger stereos always create more noises within the car. same as many kms on rough roads create more structual noises, it's inevitable. I had to loktite everything with a thread on it in my ea, particularly in the back because it was a weekly ritual to go round tightening screws.

mind you i could make cd's sitting in my console dance

even with milder units though, your still increasing the acoustic pressure within the door in which wasn't designed for. Best bet is to lay matting in behind the speaker on install, that way it dampens direct rattles from the chassis of the speaker and also projects more sound back out into the cabin.

Yeah I took the door trim off and it stopped!
Could it be the clips that hold the trim on?
were could I buy these?
Or should I replace the trim?
