i was running a BLAUPUNKT 12" off my factory amp and it ran well but it does sound better on an aftermarket amp IMO

i ran a decent Pioneer 12'' off the factory amp for a while, it held up pretty well.

8'' subs are not that common apparently, and not cheap for the good ones.

The amps are designed as a 50WRMS per channel, with channels 3 and 4 bridged internally to give about 120WRMS.

Problem is the wiring Ford use severely hampers the output of the amp. You'd be lucky to get 20WRMS out of it.

If you upgrade the 12v and GND lines to an 8 gauge, you can get upto 75WRMS per channel. They are based on an Alpine amp that is capable of that.

And in regards to an 8" sub... Allow me to get a sales plug in for one I just put up :D

is it possable to keep the factroy amp for the speakers and put an aftermarket amp to run the sub?
